Welcome to Silver Gypsea Studio!
I'm Lucinda, a passionate silversmith and beach enthusiast.
My love for the ocean began in Carlsbad, California, where I spent countless summers combing the beaches with my Mom, searching for treasures hidden in the sand.
Each piece I create is a labor of love, crafted from authentic ocean tumbled sea glass, gathered from years of beach combing and running along the California coastline.
I also incorporate a harmonious blend of, abalone, gemstones, Hawaiian Shiva shells, along with mother-of-pearl, purple peacock fresh water pearls, and other natural shells.
My designs are all hand-forged, one- of- a -kind creations, primarily using sterling silver.
I love to incorporate mixed metals like copper, 14-karat gold fill, and brass, adding unique touches to each piece.
In addition, I've mastered the art of torch-fired enamel, blending vibrant colors into my sea glass pieces and upcycled hand-blown glass jewelry, creating a bohemian beach vibe.
I'm also thrilled to collaborate with Barrio Glassworks in Carlsbad.
Their exquisite hand-blown pieces allow me to transform leftover fragments into beautiful, ocean-inspired jewelry.
Being a silversmith has allowed me to elevate my creations and pour love and care into every piece.
